We, the members of the Republican Party of Randolph County, Illinois, believe that our County and its Citizens will secure and sustain the blessings of liberty and well-being as a society based upon these principles:

Life: The "Sanctity" and " Right to Life" is a fundamental human right. Human Life has inherent dignity. We will protect life, from conception until natural death.

Family: We believe the family is society's central building block. Children are Randolph County's most precious assets. The most secure and nurturing environment for a child is provided by a married father and mother committed to each other and to the child.

Faith: Our Creator has granted us traditional moral principles (found in the Bible) which are the foundation of our society. We have a duty to uphold, strengthen, and safeguard religious and other institutions which protect and embody these principles. Public policy which negates these principles or diminishes these institutions is inherently unsound.

Freedom: Freedom is based on fundamental rights including those embodied in our Constitutions. …" They are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, That among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.." Freedom is not Free, ours must be kept by a vigilant people aware of history and willing to live and die for liberty. Our Constitutional Republic will survive with nothing else.

Health Care: Work to ensure that high quality healthcare is available throughout our State and County in both rural and urban areas.

Education: The development of educational policy should recognize the primacy of the family, and should assure parents the freedom and ability to provide strong and appropriate foundations for their children. Educational quality along with high moral character will be instrumental in guarantying America's future.

Finances and Job Creation: The levying of taxes must be limited. Excessive taxations retard economic growth and prosperity, and diminishes personal freedom. A private, free market economic system is the basis of prosperity. The power of free enterprise to create jobs is the best means to eliminate poverty.

Fair and Balanced Legal System: Justice demands our honest and impartial application of the law. A person is innocent until proven guilty. It is a perversion of justice to deny equal opportunity to any individual . All people should be safe and secure in their homes and in their communities. Judges must interpit the law in its original intent. Frivolous litigation burdens the legal system and generally harms society.

Local and National Security: We believe the Citizens of Randolph County deserve capable and efficient law enforcement at all levels. Our citizens should also have the right to protect themselves, their families and property. We believe the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is an individual Right and contributes to the safety and security of our families, communities and way of life. The National Security of the U.S.A. should be protected from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Government's Responsibility: Our founder's gave us a Constitutional Republic in which " the Law's of Nature and of Natures God entitles them…. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.." , A"… new Government…". A Government where Liberty and Personal Responsibility is the goal. All levels of government should strive to create a climate were liberty, personal responsibility, property rights and business flourish.
